Therapeutic Approaches
Holistic / Systems FrameWork

This framework focuses on the idea that firstly the person doing the work to create changes in their life, are the ones in the driver’s seat for their life. I am there to act as a mirror, with the understanding of the whole person, the mental emotional, physical and spiritual self. How each of these sides of ourselves interacts and play out. In terms of spirituality, this can mean your connection to self, spirit or to the outside world, the trees, the Great Spirit, God, Goddess or name you choose works for you. In addition, how your family (chosen or biological), work, other organizations interact with the journey you are on. I also do not do any diagnosis, as I believe in most cases change can happen prior to this happening through hard work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other therapy work. In some cases where referral for diagnosis is needed, this can be done on an as needed basis.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy that focuses on understanding how our thoughts and behaviors are connected. Through understanding this connection, together we can pinpoint and address the cause of the unwanted behavior or symptoms. We will work together to address your challenges. This can include challenges regarding moods, anxiety, stress, fear, substance abuse, shame, guilt and depression.

Satir Family Therapy

The Satir Model and system developed by Virginia Satir, is a model that believes that all people have the ability to change. The primary idea is that most
people are doing the best they can to
navigate the world we live in and yet to some degree are being unsuccessful.
What individuals are missing are the

tools to help to access their strength or personal power and/ or learning valuable life skills. This model also understands how if we change one person in a system, it affects the other people in that system as well. So it is ideal to work with the whole system to support how the one person change. Again this is not always possible but is ideal to create the best circumstances for change.

Mindfulness and Meditation

Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment or conscious of what you are doing in a particular moment.  Meditation is defined by Yoga international as, "a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state."

These techniques are amazing to assist one in transforming many challenges in one's life whether it is about addressing anger, anxiety, mental illness, achieving one's goals or even attaining inner peace.

If you are looking for one-on-one coaching or prefer to be in a group setting there is a technique that is right for you.
